I am so thrilled for your new gig with Broadway.com! Broadway.com is super lucky and smart to get you!

Broadway and Broadway is okay. I would love it if the Broadway League would bring back Broadway Under the Stars, which was in Bryant Park. It was a beautiful event and much better. The last few Broadway on Broadway events that I attended (notwithstanding sitting with you and Adam last year) have been rather lame in attendance by the shows.

As far as Broadway Flea Market goes, it has been for the last 5 or 6 years (except the year that it rained so much they moved it to Roseland) in Shubert Alley spilling onto 44th Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue. The Broadway stars autographing event have always been set up at tables under the porch at whatever restaurant happened to be there (now it’s Junior’s). I would always end up at Angus’ to watch the remaing crowd and stars come and go. It will be weird not being in Shubert Alley but 44th Street is still basically the same. It’s a great event that raises lots of money, but even further bonds the community both in its performers and devotees. You see and talk to everybody, whether they themselves are hawking or browsing.

Thanks so much, Sarah! Broadway Under The Stars sounds like an amazing event! I wish they would bring that one back. I feel bad that I’ve never gotten to experience it. I’m looking forward to the mingling at Broadway Flea Market. Sounds like a great chance to meet more people with the same interest. How nice.
